📍 Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Start your journey with an early pickup from your hotel in Fes. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to friendly Barbary monkeys.

Continue through Midelt, then enter the dramatic Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and traditional Berber villages.

Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Meet your camel caravan and enjoy a sunset camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Arrive at your Sahara desert camp, enjoy traditional dinner, Berber music, and sleep under the starry sky.

📍 Day 2: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Khamlia – Black Desert – Nomad Visit

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, explore the Merzouga region in a 4×4 or by camel:

• Visit Khamlia village to experience traditional Gnawa music

• Explore the Black Desert, with volcanic rock formations

• Meet a nomad family for tea and cultural exchange

• Discover the Merzouga Palm Grove and desert oases

• Optional activities: quad biking, sandboarding, or 4×4 desert adventure

Return to your hotel or riad in Merzouga for dinner and overnight stay.

📍 Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, drive west toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, a narrow canyon with towering limestone cliffs rising over 300 meters. Walk along the gorge and take in the dramatic scenery.

Continue through the Dades Valley, famous for its winding roads and “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Optionally visit the Roses Valley (seasonal) with its fragrant rose fields and traditional kasbahs.

📍 Day 4: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains

After breakfast, drive through Skoura Oasis, home to the beautiful Kasbah Amridil. Continue to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film city, with optional visits to Taourirt Kasbah or Atlas Film Studios.

Next, explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, famous for its mud-brick architecture and appearance in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views as you descend toward Marrakech.

Overnight in Marrakech.

📍 Day 5: Marrakech City Tour – Departure

Spend your last day exploring Marrakech, including its:

• Bahia Palace

• Saadian Tombs

• Majorelle Garden
